These are the rules for using The Wallpaper Hub. They're written to be read, not to be impressive. By using the site you're agreeing to them.
The Wallpaper Hub is operated by The Wallpaper Hub, based in Wisconsin, United States. You can reach us at thewallpaperhub.org@gmail.com. For copyright notices there is a postal address on our DMCA page.
"We" and "us" mean the operator. "You" means anyone using thewallpaperhub.org.
You need an account to upload, follow people, or keep a download history that follows you between devices. You don't need one to browse or download.
You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you're younger, you're welcome to browse and download, but not to publish.
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Use a password you don't use elsewhere, and tell us if you think someone else has access.
You can change your handle from your profile, once every 30 days. Links to your old handle keep working and forward to the new one. A handle you give up is held for 90 days before anyone else can take it, so nobody can step straight into your name. Once it is taken, the old address belongs to them rather than forwarding to you.
Only work you made, or work you have clear permission to publish. Uploading someone else's photograph, illustration, or render without their permission is the fastest way to lose your account.
Nothing sexual. Nothing depicting or sexualising minors, ever, in any form. Nothing graphically violent. Nothing that harasses, threatens, or promotes hatred against people.
No spam, no bulk uploads of near-identical images, no using the site to advertise something else.
Uploads are scanned automatically before they appear. Anything the scanner is unsure about is held until a person looks at it. We may remove anything, at any time, without warning, and we don't owe you an explanation, though we'll usually give one.
You keep the copyright in everything you upload. We don't claim ownership of your work and we never will.
By uploading, you give us permission to store your work, show it on thewallpaperhub.org, resize and re-encode it so it loads properly, and display it in previews when someone shares a link. That permission lasts as long as the work is on the site.
You also agree that anyone may download your work under the terms on our License page. If that isn't what you want, don't upload.
You also let us show your work while promoting the site: in social posts, screenshots, previews and advertising for The Wallpaper Hub itself. Your name goes on it wherever the format allows, and it's always a link back to you. This covers promoting the site and nothing else: we won't licence your work to anyone else, sell it, or use it to advertise another company's product. Email us and we'll leave your work out of it.
Delete something and we'll stop showing it. Copies already downloaded by other people are out of everyone's hands, including ours.
The site is provided as it is. We don't promise it will always be available, that nothing will ever break, or that we'll keep your files forever. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
We're not responsible for what other people upload. If something on the site infringes your copyright, our DMCA page explains how to get it taken down.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the site.
You can delete your account whenever you like, from the Delete account page. You choose what happens to your uploads: remove them along with everything else, or leave them on the site with your name taken off. Neither option is reversible.
Closing an account doesn't wipe the slate. If work of yours was removed for copyright or content reasons, that record stays with us, and it follows you if you sign up again. Making a new account to get around a decision is itself grounds for closing it.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. For serious things, such as sexual content involving minors, repeated copyright infringement or threats, we'll do it without warning and report it where the law requires.
We'll update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the site rather than hoping you notice.
Wisconsin law governs these terms.
